The Book of Revelation

In the Church News dated September 3, there was an article about a class which was presented during BYU's Education Week, on The Book of Revelation. The presenter, Gary L. Poll,  said that the Book of Revelation was "a love letter from the Lord for each member of the Church". This book of Scripture has long fascinated me, since my youth Sunday School teacher, who was also a high school English teacher, helped her students understand the symbolism and poetry of this marvelous book. Brother Poll said that this book is also called The Apocalypse, because Revelation is the English word for the Greek word Apocalypse. This was new knowledge to me, which brought a very different feeling to the word apocalypse. In the past, this word brought feelings of devastation, fear, and sorrow. Now this word brings forth feelings of love from and for the Lord, because He will give us the knowledge which we need to avoid many of the problems, which will occur before His Second Coming!!!!
