Progress is being made!!

Hurray, Hurray, Hurray!!!

Progress is being made on the conversion of the porch into an entryway/pantry/coat closet and nook off the living room! A couple of weeks ago, the insulation holes were filled in and stuccoed to match the rest of the walls. Today we put the last door on the pantry. There is a LOT of finishing work to do, but it is beginning to look like a room instead of a porch. Now that the double paned windows were installed before the new year, the temperature stays quite reasonable even though the registers have not been hooked up yet. A window, which looks out onto the porch from the living room, has been kept open and the door cracked open to allow warm air from the rest of the house to heat it. When we work out there, a fan is turned on to blow warm air through the window, around the room and through the door into the foyer in order to make the temperature comfortable for working.

Dad bought a 7 1/2" miter saw with lazer for accurate cuts of wood to make the doors for the pantry.
It does a Fabulous Job!!
