Saturday, I scraped the old paint off the door frame and stoop and put the stucco on the west side of the west window units. Took hours so went to bed having had a good work out!
We got the wood on the inside of the front and west windows but forgot the decorative piece between the top of the window and the frame, so we will have to fake it..... Just another challenge!! :)
Stuccoed the left side to match the right side of the west window for balance. Was not going to do it because it is so much work and such a HUGE mess, but it will look better after being painted. The wood around the windows will be white and the walls will be yellow to match the living room and foyer.
OOPS we for got to put the wiring in before enclosing the wall! Thus, the front door will have to wait for it's frame, until the lights and door bell have electricity to them.
WHEW!!! This job found muscles I forgot were there, LOL! But is will look like there never was a door there let alone two! This used to be the outside door with storm door as well and now it will be entry to the pantry, coat closet and new front door.
This stoop was covered with old, thick, hard, gray paint. What a bear to remove, but I was determined it was coming off and off it eventually came! Thank you Dad for buying the new, sharp paint scraper!!!
Maybe this week I will start painting. :)
