The many faces of Ziggy!

This is how Dad looked when we met, HUBBA, HUBBA!!! He has always been such a serious fellow, and at the same time so lovable. :)

By 2003 he had matured into quite a teddy bear in so many affable ways.













I knew that his brother Mike and he looked a lot alike, but when this picture was taken in 2008 standing next to each other, it became even more apparent. He seems to have lost a little weight here from 2003 Was he trying or was it the diabetes? It is said, "A picture is worth a thousand words", and that is good because I am not good with words. Too many times I am so caught up in my own world that I miss how he is working so hard to please me by taking care of himself and and do what is best for both of us. I guess I am being selfish, because I do not want him to die young as the rest of the men in his family have done..... Mike has already had several heart attacks and Dave has had other health issues.


This was taken last April 2010 on the train, when we went to Utah. I hadn't noticed that he had already lost some weight at that time. Throughout whatever life hands him, he never looses the sparkle in his eyes and optimism in his attitude! He is my knight in shining armor!!






Here he proudly stands in front of his masterpiece, this beautiful pantry built for our home storage! From this picture he looks about the same as last Spring, but in reality he lost 30lbs in one month being too sick to eat almost anything. We were quite worried for a while. His stomach seems to be recovering to some degree, so now he is working to keep the weight off and loose about 20 more pounds to keep the diabetes under control. He is so proud of how he looks and feels because he is getting his health under control. May the Lord continue to bless him to be able to keep his resolve and live a long and fulfilled life!!
