Marlena designed the recessed ceiling lighting.
In the lawn outside the dining room door there was a dog run for Cocoa to play and in the back there was a mother-in-law apartment. But Jayme's mama lived in the house with them.
On the way to their home, we stopped at the restaurant where they got engaged. What a pleasure to share in their joy of life!!
Everywhere we went the food was delicious!
Banana Soup! actually they are plantains, but they are part of the banana family. :)
All around the restaurant was a bamboo forest, so everything was made of bamboo including this little children's club house!
We actually could understand much of this menu!
How delightful it was to be able to enjoy flowers in January!!
Jayme took us to a resort on the Atlantic ocean. It was worth the hole potted dirt road to get there!
Fresh water to rinse off with, or for children to play in.
Appetizer, YUMMMMM!!!
Even a pool to play in!
Jayme's Mama cooked lunch for us while Jayme and Marlena were at work each day.
And Cocoa kept us occupied each day as well. It was quite peaceful!
Finally we relented and allowed them to take us to a US American restuarant.
Mega malls were everywhere!
And so many types of squash which I had never seen!
Shopping for souvenirs was fun with Jayme's Mama!!
