Vol. 4The Thomas family members face ongoing challenges in the dark years at the close of WW2. Alex's values are tested as he works to complete an intelligence assignment in Germany while wondering if he'll ever see his beloved Anna and their son again. Wally struggles to survive the torture he endures as a POW, and Bobbi has to make a difficult choice between the men in her life. Back home in Utah, LaRue and her father, President Alexander Thomas, have drawn their own battle lines. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1207895.When_We_Meet_AgainIt takes time to change. The most important thing to remember is the desire to be honest with ourselves about the need to improve. It is vital to love our enemies and not allow hatred to fester and poison us and our actions. We are never thankful for the things which happen to us, but we can be tankful for the results. What we have now may be more complicated, but far less difficult than we may have feared.
You're becoming quite the voracious reader! Nice background and good job putting it up by yourself!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS ON BOTH ACCOUNTS!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun choosing and installing the new background. The old one was dropped by the company, so was forced to be adventurous, hehe.
This Children of the Promise serious is so intense, keeping me on the edge of my seat, that I can not put it down, LOL! Has been nice to have something, which can hold my interest, while being as sick as I have been this week. :) Tomorrow, I get the last book. It will be sad to say goodbye to this "family". :( These stories are not only about WWll, but also about how the war effected the Church during this time as well,(especially in Utah) most of which I already knew, but still interesting to be portrayed through the eyes of a family who lived then(even though they are fictitious).
