Far From Home is a moving, powerful novel about the effects of adversity, and about the love of family members for each other. If you''re interested in World War II, or if you simply enjoy a great story, you won't want to miss this third volume of Children of the Promise. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/433160.Far_from_HomeA realist does not want to invent happy endings that are not there. Although, being a realist, a person can still have hope and faith, even though at times it is difficult to keep them strong. I consider myself a realist, but sometimes it would be nice to be an optimist and see life through rose colored glasses. J Ruben Clark said we should honor our soldiers, but we should never honor war. This book brings out the fact that tragedy can bring great faith; that life is all about surviving hard times. Hard times make us learn things we would not learn any other way.
