Today marks the second week of our renewed menu plan!! WOW are we eating like kings! We are even attempting to keep up with healthy eating, with Dad doing better than I since Halloween candy has entered our abode, oops.
Anyway, here are some of the items we have had for dinner since we started:
Beef Stroganoff
Oriental Stir fry
Mac and Cheese with Ham and Green Pepper
Sage and black pepper Pork Roast with Rosemary spiced Cubed Potatoes and a side of onion and
thyme green beans (this has been my favorite so far!)
Potatsio: ground beef with cinnamon, nutmeg and tomatoes covered in very specially prepared mashed potatoes with a side of buttery spinach (my #2 favorite)
Chicken and green beans smothered in Alfredo and marinara sauce served over egg noodles
Egg rolls and wanton soup (Dad brought the wanton soup home)
Hot dogs and sauerkraut (secret: rinse the sauerkraut, YUMMMM)
Roast beef, potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery
Meatball subs; homemade
For tonight Lasagna!!
As you can see, there are a few days we didn't eat at home, but it was a definite decision ahead of time not a last minute decision because of no dinner ready and Dad needing to be somewhere soon. This has been fun for both of us, which has helped me enjoy cooking again because he is excited about what is being prepared!!!!
