Our neighbor up the street has this adorable Teddy bear who enjoys coming to visit us every time the door opens and he is in the yard, or his own yard! He is a large black thick furry cat named Duffy, who thinks we belong to him and is the most loveable creature every born! Except for our last feline, Bogie. who never hurt a flea. Well maybe a flea was not his friend, nor were flies, (which he love to catch for a snack) but he never produced a negative action toward a human being of any size or age.
As soon as Duffy begins to be petted, he dives for a flat surface begging to have his tummy petted! and then guides your hand gently toward his cheeks and top of his head so that he can continue rubbing them on your hand.
He really thinks we are his toys, hehe!
Duffy loves to rub his head against any thing he can reach and purr, and purr, and purr, until he decides he is ready to face the great out of doors again and goes to the door and asks to go out. He follows us around inside and outside the house hoping for as much attention as he can glean!
Being grandparents to the neighbors cats and dogs is the best way to have pets. Love them with out expense, unless we feel inclined to spoil them occasionally! The neighbors think it is so hilarious that he just walks in if the door is left open for a second. And now that the back door has a magnet closure screen, he can let himself in any time the back door is open for a bit of a breeze!
See the peanuts on the deck floor? We have been feeding the squirrels this Winter and they come to the back door when there are no peanuts to see if we will put some more out for them. They are so cute when they sit up on their haunches, their little front paws folded across their chests, look us in the eyes and beg!!!
