While I painted outside, Dad began designing and constructing the shelves for the pantry. I helped him put the frame work in when it was ready. After getting this far, he decided to do it a bit different.
This part of the house is in a perpetual shade this time of year, so even though the temperature rose to almost 50* in the sun, it was not so nice in the windy shade. Stucco is a PAIN to paint especially the initial coat, and the paint was VERY thick which kept it where it was put and from running too much. Good thing I am not a professional painter, because I get it all over myself. Good for old clothes!!!! and washable paint!!! When I bent to get paint on the brush, my hair stuck in the pain on the wall, ouch!!
OOPS the original color has darkened on the rest of the house!! Good thing this is only the first coat! I will take a piece of brick from under one of the other windows to match the paint better for the final coat.
By evening Dad and I were getting tired and not feeling so good. He had been sick the evening before, stomach bug and my throat began to hurt, so we quit earlier than I would have liked.
This week, my job was to hammer and drill holes into the inside walls to blow insulation in on Friday.
Not happening......
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
