Friday, March 2nd we awoke at 7am to prepare for traveling 3 hours to attend Tommy's Retirement Ceremony and party. After morning preparations, we began our journey by picking up Brother Houghton (Tommy's scout master) and Sister Houghton (his Seminary teacher) who desired to share in the festivities to celebrate the past 20yrs of Tommy's life in which he served our country as a Navy Nuc. Since pictures say
things better than I do, Here are a few from the ceremony.

This is how Tommy looked as he entered the Naval Service 20 years ago. So young and baby faced!
These are his crew buddies.

After several officers praised Tommy's accomplishments during his time in the military, it was finally his turn. Wish I had taped it. Maybe he will send me a copy to put here.
Let the awards began!

Matt and Tommy made this lovely cup cake stand. Cherie her friend Missie and Sisters from the Church made the cup cakes. Cherie put together the sail boats glued to tooth picks to decorate them.
Proud Navy mom!

Remembering the good times!
Places he's been...

Food he's eaten....
Things he's seen....
Money he used....
Cherie, family and friends put together a fabulous meal to celebrate royally!!
Check out these adorable centerpieces Cherie put together for each of the tables! Hurray for Cricut!!!
What a great story teller Tommy is! Someone would ask him about an experience and he would elaborate on it with flare!! I will post the video of one story on the next post.
May you always have...
