For some reason not known to myself at this time, this review was overlooked when the book was read, and now I can not seem to find any information on this delightful book other than when it was first published: Published March 10th 2003 by Deseret Book Company. It is a creatively written story of a ward in a small town in Alabama, which became split into two wards. The story is told from the view point of one of the new bishops, Jim Shepherd. (Interesting how she chose names for her characters to fit each person in some way) He is the owner of a small, locally owned grocery store and has the respect of all of his customers friends and neighbors. This story follows the progress of this humble Spiritual man, who has suddenly become responsible of the spiritual lives of those in his realm of authority. It is well written with many references to LDS life with all of it's ups and downs. Delightful!!
