TADA!!!!!

Hope your Winter is going well. Every year I drag my feet about putting the Christmas decorations away, because this is the bleakest time of the year and without the brilliant colors from the Christmas decorations, life seems too dull and tedious..... SOOOOO, TADA!!!! A Valentine Tree full of conversation hearts even around the skirt!!! a dazzling alternative to lack of lively color in the house!!! Hummm, that may wet my appetite for those delicious morsels. Hehehe!!

This tree was made from a "coat tree" post and stand which Dad's father had made for Elaine and Trina when they were little. Last year before Christmas, I decided to reduce the space which the Christmas tree took up. The coat tree was rescued from the attic (where it had been placed after becoming unusable) and redressed with the disassembled top section of the artificial tree (after Dad drilled some holes for the boughs). WALA - a new MUCH smaller tree which can be left up all year. It sets in that corner out of the way and can be used, or ignored, at will. Last year it got ignored after Christmas, but this year I needed something to take away the effect of too many days of overcast grayness. :)
