MAY
Added length to my temple blouse sleeve. I really like the crocheted pineapple pattern!
Fed the squirrels all winter and they became almost tame!
Put lattice around the deck to make it look more presentable.
What a wonderful surprise to have time to visit with my sister and her daughter and grand daughter before we left for Utah.
Then off to Utah for Gabe's 8th birthday and baptism!
So very proud of Gabe for choosing for himself to take this monumental step!
Thank you also for giving me an opportunity to share my testimony of
our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Had a wonderful time watching Gabe and Sam doing their gymnastics! They are so strong and coordinated!
Fantastic job guys!!
JUNE
This month was full of taking care of the garden and getting the house ready for Cherie, the kids and their two dogs to live with us for the Summer!
JULY
Cousins are the greatest fun!
Gabe and greatly enjoyed having Becca entertain them!
The dogs came with Lime Disease.... Three weeks of antibiotics seemed to cure them!
Trina, Ben and the boys came for a wonder adventure!
It was wonderful to be able to visit with Jan and her family so Ben could get to know more of our family!
Sam so loved all of the animals!
We went to Niagara Falls, The Hill Camorah Pageant, visited Church History Sites and came home.
We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe and
the boys had fun playing on the interactive wall display.
Sunday we all walked the whole way up Watkins Glen
and then had a picnic with Gramma Ford and Ed!
The boys were fascinated by everything in the Glen!!
Ben went golfing with Uncle Mike and
we all had a picnic and swimming at Mike's house afterward!
It was a perfect way to end a fantastic adventure!!!
Matt fell ill and after several trips to the doctor,
the emergency room doctor diagnosed him with Lime Disease too.
After three weeks of antibiotics, he was up and running!
AUGUST
We had the worst wind storm I've ever experienced in my entire life!!!
Tommy and the boys cut up off the branches and a tree service working on a neighbor's tree chipped them up and took them away. That left the huge trunk which we needed a larger chainsaw for.
The only damage was a small hole in the side of the shed. We were greatly blessed! The whole neighborhood and many other towns were also as blessed that no houses or people had serious damage!!

Tommy and Cherie were able to sign for their new house and get moved in before school started!!
They were all very happy for that. No fun starting school in a different school than where they will live the rest of the year.
As soon as Tommy and family moved into their new house we cut down two of our trees with the help of our next door neighbor.
Then the town came along and picked up the smaller branches with a giant claw truck!
We cut up the remain trunks and loaded up several trailer fulls of logs to take to a friend who has Parkinson Disease and uses wood to heat his house. The rest of the trunk is being cut up by our neighbor for his fire pit at home and his cottage.

The third tree had 4 large branches hanging over the power lines and others over our house, so we hired a couple of men to cut it down for us. After fighting with the electric company to cut those branches which hung over the power lines, one man climbed the tree (Spiderman), while the other cut up what came down.
He spun a rope web to hold himself in the tree while cutting off the limbs. What a brave man! He made if look so easy! Then the town came along and picked up the smaller branches with a giant claw truck!

SEPTEMBER
I was really going to beat the squash bug and the fungus this year,
but alas I neglected the garden for a couple of weeks and lost the squash.
But the squash was fantastic while the plants lasted!!
Canned almost 3 dozen pints of tomatoes and
about 6 quarts of zucchini/tomato/onion/bell pepper mix!
For the past 2 weeks, I have been moving furniture around, cleaning out closets, dressers, and shelves, painting walls, ceilings, and closets in preparation for two Spanish BCC Students from the SEED program came to live with us for a few months.
When we were almost finished with the logs, Tom decided to order the bricks to build our raised garden beds. My life feels like a Soap Opera - one project becomes almost complete and the next begins! Hahahaha!
They came Saturday evening and went to Church with us on Sunday including a potluck dinner at our home ward.
We are only hosting them until we go to Central America to visit with students who have lived with us in the past. It will be wonderful to meet their spouses and children!!
