Trip to Saratoga Springs

About a week and a half ago, Dad and I drove to Saratoga Springs to attend Church and have Dad participate in Zach's ordination to the Melchizedek Priesthood. The night before it had snowed a little at home and we wondered how the roads would be along the way. What a pleasant trip it was, overcast when we left home, but full of sunshine by the time we reached our destination, and only a little traffic!

 After attempting to take a decent video of the snow-covered trees, we neared the tops of the mountains near Cooperstown (home of the Baseball Hall of Fame), the snow clung to the trees making the view look like a breathtaking Winter Wonderland, and I was able to get this video! As we approached the edge of the storm clouds I thought of a line in "Sense and Sensibility": "There's some blue sky; let us chase it!" And we did!!

Anyone who has never been in upstate New York, this video opens your eyes to the beautiful farmlands, trees and foothills leading to the Adirondack Mountains!

After taking this video, the camera promptly was placed back in it's black case and lowered onto the black floor of the back seat to become invisible and forgotten until today. Sigh..... no picture of  Zach.... Maybe I will be able to get one on Friday, when we go up to Tommy's Retirement ceremony and party.
