This book is about Emma Hale Smith, wife of the Mormon Prophet, Joseph Smith and her battle against polygamy. If I had not known that the writers were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons), I would have thought that they hated Joseph Smith. It is full of opinion, supposition, skewed perceptions written long after Emma's death, personal interpretations of quotes and half quotes - using the parts which substantiate their directive, second, third party hearsay (he said, she said, they said). It did not paint a pretty picture of anyone. I would not recommend this book to anyone who wanted an honest picture of this elect lady.
