Almost finished.................

Exhausted, but satisfied. The trench is completely dug down to 18" deep, and the pipe put in place, aaaaaah. Now to connect the clean out trap at one end, connect the other end to the sump, level the pipe, cover it all over and plant grass, so noone ever sees all the work. :) Feels good that the 65'x1'x18" trench is dug to drain the water from the down spout on the back of the house to the sump in the back corner of the yard. It's therapy to be able to work the land, and subdue it to soot our purpose. When it's finished, it will add to the water collected from the french drain along the back of the yard which Elaine, Matt, Dan and Dad helped dig in July. The water is collected into a storage tank for use in watering the garden, lawn and a filter to provide us with drinking water in case of an emergency. With electricity to run the pump being provided by the solar cells, all is well. Interesting, the bad knee now is not the one which had surgery, and it's Much better now!! Sometimes they get out of place and it takes time to get them to work back into place..... All's well that ends well!

Anyone know were we can get a cheap windmill to put on the peak of the roof for the cloudy days? hehehehe. Can't stop thinking ahead....
